Erste deutsche Ausgabe, erschien bereits ein Jahr zuvor in Latein. - Der Arzt und Philosoph Johannes Rothmann (geb. 1560) wurde für seine Handlesekunst bekannt. Er findet mehrfach in der Korrespondenz Tycho Brahes Erwähnung. "In the dedication of his treatise .. Rothmann expresses his belief in the doctrine of signatures in plants and in the influence of the stars. He has tried to set forth the canons of chiromancy in a brief system form, to contribute some observations of his own, and to substantiate the asserted harmony of chiromancy and astrology by a number of living examples" (Thorndike). - Titel in Rot und Schwarz.

Buchstabenverlust, Titel und 1 Bl. hinterlegt), wenige Unterstreichungen in Rötel, 1 Bl. mit Namenseintrag. Titel mit gelöschten hs. Eintrag (unleserlich).
