Wurmspur im ob. w. Rd. Rücken überwieg. leicht verfärbt (2 stärker), etwa 5 Kapitale mit kl. Beschädigungen oder Bereibungen, ansonsten schöne, wohlerhaltene Reihe in einheitlichen Einbänden der Zeit.

Set of the first 65 vols. plus 1 general index (for 1-53, publ. 1828) of the famous botanical magazine, in first edition. Complete copy with 1 engr. and 1 lithogr. portrait and 3715 mostly colored copperplates (354 folding). Contemp. light brown half calf with red label on spine. - Lacking the first general index for vols. 1-43 (publ. 1816) and the print titles of vols. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14. Only occasionally slightly browned or foxed, 4 leaves with small worm traces in the upper white margin. Most of the spines slightly discolored, 2 spines stronger; about 5 vols. with slight rubbing oder defects to heads of spine. Overall well-preserved, nice set in uniform contemp. bindings.
