Nach Westen orientierte Karte von Virginia. Mit Indianerszene oben links, zwei Schmuckkartuschen mit figürl. Beiwerk, Wappen und Windrose. Lat. Rückentext. "This extremely rare map is the first and most important derivative of John Smith's map of Virginia originally published in 1612 .. It is slightly larger than its parent, although more attractively engraved." (Burden) - Ränder stellenw. mit schwachem Wasserrand und wenigen kl. Einrissen (einer oben in der Mittelfalte), rechter Rand mit zwei Quetschfalten bis knapp in die Darstellung. Insgesamt schönes Exemplar.
