Erste Ausgabe. - Das erste Pop-up-Buch, das sich offiziell selbst so bezeichnet, wie der Hinweis "with 'pop-up' illustrations" auf dem Deckel und der Vermerk "the word 'Pop-up' is a registered trade mark" (Titel vo.) zeigen. - "As the Depression years ended, American book publishers sought ways to rekindle book buying. In the 1930's Blue Ribbon Publishing of New York found a combination that proved successful. They animated Walt Disney Characters and fairy tales with pop-ups. Blue Ribbon was the first publisher to use the term 'pop-up' to describe movable illustrations" (Montanaro S. XIX). - Erzählt und illustriert werden die Abenteuer von Mickey Mouse am Hofe von König Arthur, die mithilfe der wunderbaren Pop-up-Bilder für den Leser lebendig und greifbar werden. - Ohne OU. - Stellenweise (leim)fleckig, Bindung an zwei Stellen verstärkt (dort etw. leimschattig), Lanze von Mickey mit kl. Knickspur, flieg. Vorsatz vo. mit hs. Besitzvermerk. Einband teils gering berieben u. stellenweise gering fleckig. Insgesamt gut erhaltenes Pop-up-Kinderbuch.
