Lipperheide zählt 391 Tafeln, Colas 393, vorlieg. Expl. enthält insges. 404. - Bd. IV ohne kolor. Frontisp. und gest. Schlußblatt. Fehlen ferner ca. 20 Kupfertafeln. - 7 Tafeln mit Randläsuren (inkl. Frontisp.), 5 Tafeln mit Einriß, 18 Textbll. (inkl. 1 gest. Titel) mit Läsuren oder Einriß (dav. 1 Bl. mit Textverlust). Nur vereinz. etw. fleckig, sonst sauberes und breitrandiges Exemplar. Einbd. beschabt und bestoßen. Exlibris "Military Collection Anne S. K. Brown".Vols. I-IV (of 6) in 4. With 3 (of 4) colored engr. frontisp., 4 engr. titles, 3 (of 4) colored engr. final leaves and 404 colored costume plates (stipple engravings, partly etchings with aquatint). Contemp. half morocco with gilt spine (rubbed and bumped). - Vols. differing from the collation given by Lipperheide and Colas. - Lacking the frontisp. and the engr. final leaf in vol. IV, further ca. 20 plates. - 7 plates (incl. frontisp.) with marginal defects, 5 plates torn, 18 text leaves with marginal defects or tear (1 affecting printed matter). Only here and there some spotting, else clean copy with broad margins. Bookplate.
