Kein Exemplar in den Online-Katalogen der großen Bibliotheken! - Das vielfach aufgelegte und übersetzte Werk des "Vaters der wissenschaftlichen Volkskunde" (NDB II, 403) erschien erstmals 1520. "Describes the customs and manners of many peoples of the world ... The early editions contain only three parts: Africa, Asia, and Europe. Only later, in the 1558 edition, was a fourth part referring to America added." (Borba de Moraes I, 110). - Titel mit altem gekröntem Stempel der "Bibliothek Haltenbergstetten" und Besitzeintrag "Wolf Frideric(us) S. Rom. Imp(erarotis) Mar(schalcus) Her. Domin(us) à Pappenheim". With 2 rep. woodcut printer's devices. Half calf in 18th cent. style. - Title with crowned stamp of the library Haltenbergstetten and early ownership inscription of a German marshal. Fine copy.
