Erste Ausgabe. - Der Hauptzweck dieser Reise galt der Aufnahme der Küstenstrecke zwischen den von Parry und Franklin erreichten weitesten Punkten (an der Melvillenhalbinsel bzw. Kap Turnagain). Auf dieser Fahrt wurde der magnetische Nordpol erstmals betreten und die Halbinsel Boothia Felix entdeckt. Außerdem wurde die Nordostküste von King-William-Land gesehen und kartographisch verzeichnet. Hier mit dem separat publizierten Appendix mit den Beobachtungen und Erkenntnissen der Reise, darunter ein Vokabular des Eskimo-Aleutischen und eine Abhandlung über das Nordlicht. - Wenige Bll. gering fleckig.
