Erste Ausgabe in einem schönen Exemplar mit prachtvoll kolorierten Tafeln, Vorläufer der von Jacquin herausgegebenen Collectanea. Die Sammlung enthält in der Art eines Periodikums verschiedene Artikel von Jacquin und befreundeten Wissenschaftlern, über neue Forschungen hauptsächlich auf dem Gebiet der Botanik. Besonders wichtig ist der Beitrag von F. X. von Wulfen Plantae rariores Carinthiacae . Die prachtvollen und sorgfältig kolorierten Kupfertafeln mit Darstellung verschiedener Pflanzen, darunter zahlr. Pilze, stellen zumeist bisher unbeschriebene Species dar und sind bedeutend für die botanische Forschungsgeschichte und Nomenklatur. Fine copy of the first edition with lavishly colored plates, precursor of the 'Collectanea', published by Jacquin. With 44 copper plates in old coloring (4 folding). Contemp. calf with gilt spine, floral stamps and color label on spine, both boards with neatly gilt-tooled decorative border. - Somewhat glue-stained at the beginning and at the end. - All in all a very clean and nice copy in an elegant contemp. calf binding.
