Fünfte Ausgabe der unter dem Titel De humani corporis fabrica 1543 erstmalig erschienenen Anatomie, eine Titelauflage der Edition von G. Chrieger (1568), mit verkleinerten Illustrationen und ohne die Landschaftsdarstellungen der vorhergehenden Ausgaben, damit die Skelette ohne ablenkende Details präsentiert werden (vgl. Mortimer 529). "The new woodcuts for the illustrations, however, were so well executed that the engraver might allmost have passed for the same person who in Venice at the behest of Vesalius had cut the original blocks for the larger work" (Cushing S. 92).
