Bedeutende Quelle zur Entwicklung der neuzeitlichen Pharmazie. Exemplar mit interessanter Provenienz und schöner Wappenmalerei.

Spätere Folio-Ausgabe der erstmals 1564 als Enchiridion sive ut vulgo vocant dispensatorium erschienenen Augsburger Pharmacopoe, die von dem Arzt Adolf Occo auf Befehl des Rathes der Stadt Augsburg verfaßt wurde. Das Enchiridion, das ein Medicamentarium enthält, diente als Gesetzbuch.

EINBAND: Lederband d. Zt. über Holzdeckeln mit Ganzgoldschnitt. 31 : 19 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit koloriertem gestochenem Titel von W. Kilian und 2 Falttabellen. - KOLLATION: 3 Bll., 23 S., 298 S., 10 Bll. (d. e. w.); 13 Bll. (Taxa) - ZUSTAND: Meist im R. etw. fleckig, erste Drittel mit Waserrand in unt. Ecke, zu Beginn sowie Einbanddeckel mit Wurmspuren, am Ende 16 w. Bll. eingebunden (1 mit Register von alter Hd.). Einbd. beschabt und bestoßen. - PROVENIENZ: Titel verso mit ganzseitiger Wappenmalerei und längerem Besitzeintrag des Augsburger Apothekers "Wolfgangus Heckhelig", datiert 1613. - Später im Besitz des bekannten Konstanzer Apothekers Otto Leiner (1856-1931) mit dessen Exlibris.

Important source for the development of modern pharmacy. Copy with interesting provenance and beautiful coat of arms painting. With colored engraved title by W. Kilian and 2 folding tables. Contemp. Calf over wooden boards with gilt edges. 31 : 19 cm. - Somewhat stained (molstly in the margins, first third waterstained in lower corner, at the beginning and cover with wormtraces, at the end 16 white leaves inserted (1 leaf with register from old hand). Binding scraped and bumped. Provenance: Title verso with full-page coat of arms painting and a longer ownership entry of the Augsburg pharmacist "Wolfgangus Heckhelig", dated 1613. - Later in the possession of the well-known Constance pharmacist Otto Leiner (1856-1931) with his bookplate.
